izé was founded to reconcile the realms of architecture, art, design and manufacture

The door handle represents the first physical contact with the architecture and our aim is to ensure that the initial haptic experience is as charged, as intimate and as thoughtful as the building. We collaborate with architects, product and interior designers and artists to create products which embody the intellectual, physical and aesthetic qualities of the architecture at a scale which fits into the hand.

izé works in the UK and internationally to ensure that each building results in a unique and poetic experience in which the scale of detail and material work in sympathy with the physical space. Whether your demands are for our standard ranges or for a bespoke product tailored for a specific setting, we will ensure that the whole ironmongery package works to complement and become part of the architecture.

izé is able to work at any scale and on any building type, from the smallest house extension to the largest hotel or public building.  We also offer a full scheduling and technical support service.

izé has worked with a number of architects, artists and designers including  David Adjaye, Kenneth Grange, 6a, Haworth Tompkins, Michel Mossessian, Colin St John Wilson, Sergison Bates, Eric Parry, Mark Pimlott, Terence Woodgate and Zaha Hadid to develop new ironmongery and lighting products. We also produce a range of early twentieth century Modernist designs. izé's products are prototyped and manufactured in the UK and Europe and we are able to work with any material.
