Engel Architects was founded in 2021 by Morten Emil Engel, a Copenhagen-based practice rooted in natural, honest materials and craft-led construction, working across museums, residences, and hospitality. Morten grew up and worked across Asia, Africa, the US, and Europe before establishing his own studio, an upbringing that shaped a deep cultural sensitivity now woven through the practice's work. His projects span art museums, public plazas, bridges, galleries, parks, private residences, and product design. He studied at The Bartlett School of Architecture in London and The Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen. The studio's design language is poetic yet utilitarian — a strong formal vocabulary built on simple, refined geometry, material honesty, and function.
